Industry-leading Smart Holster Technology
Open Systems
Smart Holster products and technology are designed using open system standards, delivering the most universally available weapons sensors for connected officer platforms.
Smart Holster
Smart Holster automates critical systems, letting officers focus on responding to events and situations based on their training, without manual effort or decision-making.
Enabling Officers
Through automation, Smart Holster enforces current department policy and lets officers focus on critical events as they unfold.
Supporting Officers
Agencies can enhance the safety and efficiency of their officers by creating a real-time connection between an officer’s weapon, holster and command.
Intelligence
When a weapon is drawn, fired, or separated from the officer, an alert is instantly delivered to the dispatcher to enable immediate officer support.
Smart Holster
- The Holster Aware sensor pairs to a body-worn camera and attaches to sidearm, taser, pepper spray and/or baton holsters.
- When the sensor detects a weapon being unholstered, it automatically activates the officer’s body-worn camera and communicates with WeaponTrackerIoT command center for analysis and response.
Enabling the officer
- Smart Holster enables police officers in the field to have the potential to work more effectively than ever before using use-of-force technology.
- Officers are now connected, not only to colleagues in the control room, but to a system of devices that capture and record a vast array of information and data for force-wide response to SOP’s.
Supporting the officer
- When a weapon is drawn, fired, or separated from the officer an alert is instantly delivered to the E911 dispatcher to allow immediate support and backup to be sent to that officer’s location.
- Smart Holster communicates weapon events to the connected officer eco-system, activating body-worn cameras, and enabling real-time alerts for command and dispatch.

The Orange County, Florida Department of Corrections includes 4,500 jail sales and 600+ security personnel providingsecurity for all facility buildings, the hospital where inmates received medical care and the Courts where inmates have legal hearings. Utilizes workstation computers with USB RFID-barcode scanner and electronic signature pad, and tablet PC’s with mobile scanner, to perform Issue/Turn-in transactions, inventories, audits and to find ‘missing’ items.

Joint Base Lewis–McChord includes Army and Air Force staff and is a training and mobilization center for all services and the only Army power projection base west of the Rocky Mountains in the United States.
WeaponTracker replaces manual process and paper-based forms with computer-based tracking of weapons, gear and ammo, with real-time software intelligence to ensure that Issues / Turn-ins follow required security and tracking protocols.

The United States Space Force in standing-up its operations discovered that the methods and operational practices for the management of weapons, gear and ammo were outdated and inefficient. Based on the significant prior experience of TrackingSystemsIoT, the Space Force selected WeaponTracker for implementation for modern armory management. System includes software, management of officer assigned weapons and weapon certifications, RFID automated Issue-Return processes, transfer-of-custody tracking and RFID inventories, with full support for tablet computing.
